Updates on Booyer and Downey

There were two people who were listed as DNP for both games on the recent roadtrip, I looked into why they weren’t with the team this weekend:

6’8 forward James Booyer is still with the team.  He has not played so far this season due to an injury.  He will be back “this week.”  I have no idea if this means Thursday or Friday.  I don’t know much about him, but I do know that we definantely could use his size against Manchester.

Local high school stand out, Derico Wiggington-Downey did not travel with the team on its road trip this weekend.  The 6’0 combo guard will not be traveling to most away games but will be on home game rosters.  I really am not sure how I feel about this decision.  We are definately guard heavy, but if we are leaving anyone off the roster I think it should be Riley.  I guess we’ll see how this plays out over the course of the season.

  1. Why not bring Wiggington a long? He is only 18 and would develop a lot better if he actually played. He seems explosive and looked like a good offensive rebounder. I am not cool with having a home only player, how will that work?

Lets hope Booyer can help us out on defence. Thanks for the update.
